May 16, 2008 JSC "Holding KAZEXPORTASTYK" purchased a grain terminal in the Ukrainian port of Kherson (LLP UkrKazexportastyk) and acquired international status. The acquisition was financed from own funds of the Holding. Mr. Sergey Kharin was appointed as the Director General. The main activities of the company include: construction of elevators, grain export and import, cargo transportation, freight forwarding in port, international trade and others. The grain terminal includes: grain storage, unloading station for hoppers, and system of belt conveyors, scales, and bucket loaders. After completion of construction of the terminal its capacity is expected to be 35 thousand tons, its annual throughput capacity up to 1 mln. tons. This terminal is a strategical object in JSC "Holding KAZEXPORTASTYK" providing direct access to grain markets of the Black and Mediterranean seas.
